Brow Lift | Houston

A brow lift focuses solely on the forehead and the eye brows. Our goal is to reverse the sagging that has bunched the skin around the brows and above the eyes. Your surgeon may remove or alter the muscles above the eyes to smooth lines, raise the eyebrows, and bring the tissues back up. The end result is a much improved, more alert, younger look.

Everything on our bodies sags with the passage of time. When the brows and the areas above our eyebrows begin to sag, it can really age the face. Sagging brows can make you look perpetually tired, mad or sad. In the extreme, sagging brows can begin to interfere with your vision.

A brow lift surgery addresses your descending brows and presents a younger, more alert, energetic look.

Who Can Get a Browlift?

Most of our browlift patients are between the ages of 40 and 60 with sagging brows and noticeable aging on their forehead skin. This surgery aims to elevate the brows and erase the lines and creases on the forehead. It can also help eliminate any hooding that is occurring above the eyes.

Genetics can play a large role in how your brows age. Some people are simply more prone to sagging and drooping in this area. If this is an area of concern for you, the first step is a consultation. There may be non surgical solutions as well such as botox. Our medspa, Butterfly Medspa & Wellness, right next door, can help with such services.

How Are Brow Lifts Performed?

Your surgeon uses two methods for brow lifts the endoscopic method and the coronal method. During your consultation, your surgeon will discuss which option is best for you.

The Endoscopic Method
The endoscope has really changed the brow lift, making this method the preferred option. It limits the incision length and creates an easier recovery. The small incisions are made in the patients hairline leaving minimal scarring.

The Coronal Method
For some patients, the endoscopic method doesn’t allow enough tissue repositioning and trimming. In these cases the coronal method, also known as a traditional brow lift, may be necessary.

Can I Combine a Brow Lift With Other Procedures?

Often patients choose to add eyelid surgery to fully rejuvenate the upper third of the face. The sagging brows are targeted by the brow lift, but the sagging eyelid skin is also taken care of with eyelid surgery.

Other patients choose to combine a brow lift with a facelift. This is a natural combination, as well, because a brow lift targets the brows and forehead, while a facelift targets the mid and lower face and jowls. We can certainly talk about other combined procedures in your consultation.

How Long Will My Brow Lift Results Last?

The improvements made by your surgeon are permanent. Your transverse and frown lines on your forehead will never be as severe again. However, your brows will continue to descend with age. Your best results will be visible for 10-15 years, but your sagging will never be severe again.
